COACH CHRIS WYLIE
HEAD GIRLS GOLF COACH
Coach Wylie has been in education for over 25 years and is currently the Head Girls Golf Coach. This will be Coach Wylie’s third stop at Martin High School. A Martin graduate and football/ baseball coach at MHS from 1997 – 2002.
Coach Wylie is a graduate of Stephen F. State University with a Masters of Education in Kinesiology. Previous coaching stops: Bailey Jr High (AISD), as mentioned Martin HS, Summit HS (MISD), Howard MS (MISD) & the last 11 years spent at Mansfield High School.
Coach Wylie and his wife Jill have been married for 25 years. Jill is the Girls Athletic Coordinator at Wester Middle School in Mansfield. The Wylie’s have two children. Layne is in her second year at TCC. She was a 3-year letterman in golf at Mansfield HS. Jaxon is an 8th grader at Worley MS in Mansfield. He enjoys participating in all sports.
Coach Wylie enjoys the fact that golf is dependent on character and integrity. “What other sport do you call a penalty on yourself?” Character, integrity and accountability are core values that will carry student athletes well beyond their school years.

COACH CODY CAWVEY
HEAD BOYS GOLF COACH
Coach Cawvey has been in education for 25 years and is currently the Head Boys Golf Coach. Coach Cawvey is coming from Mansfield Lake Ridge where he coached Boys Golf for 8 years. Before that stop, he taught and coached girls golf at Sam Houston High School.
Coach Cawvey is a graduate of Texas Tech University and also has a Masters of Education from UTA. Coach Cawvey is a Red Raider through and through so there will be no tarnishing of the great campus in Lubbock Texas!
Coach Cawvey has been married to his wife Danielle for 26 years. His son Caden is a junior at McMurry University where he plays on the golf team and is majoring in Sports Management. His family lives in Burleson but loves going to Ft. Worth for dinners and activities. Coach Cawvey is a golf addict who plays and watches golf more than any one human really needs to be doing. He has a passion for all of the local sports teams and loves talking sports and fantasy football!
Coach Cawvey is a firm believer in the fact that those that WORK HARDER will see successes they did not know were possible. He also works for TJGT and is very much pro-summer golf. That is where the development really happens!
